Problems Accessing the Chat Room:

The Chat Room utilizes "Flash" and "ActiveX" controls.  Currently, 98.7% of web users are Flash enabled.  If you are part of the 1.3% who aren't, you can get a free download of Macromedia's Flash Player below:

                                                  Download Free Macromedia Flash Player

In Internet Explorer (IE) browsers, the Flash component is an ActiveX control. So if you have "disabled" your ActiveX controls, you will get a blank screen when attempting to access the Chat Room.  To "enable" your ActiveX controls on your IE browser bar:

  1. Select "Tools"

  2. Select "Internet Options"

  3. Select the "Security Tab"'

  4. Select "Custom Levels"

  5. Scroll down the list and choose the radio button to enable both " Script ActiveX controls marked as safe for scripting" and "Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins.

  6. Click OK to save your settings.

Generally speaking any newer browser version 4.X and beyond should be configured to run the Chat Room if you haven't altered the settings.  See the browser section on the general help page to upgrade your browser if you have an old browser version.
